Dear God,

I want to thank for this morning. It was so moving to listen to the radio and hear stories about parents with special-needs children. I thank you so much for Keisha, our special-needs daughter. I know you have said that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You knew us before we were born, and you have always been the one in control of everything.

There have been many times that I don't understand why things are the way that they are. I'm learning that it's OK for me not to understand; I need to trust you. Even with my own mental problems, I need to trust you, although I am so often eager to know why I'm in a funk when I get in a funk. I still need to accept that as part of my life and continue to follow you.

Thank you for all the many ways you are using Jennie, Keisha and I, through our experiences. Because of this, we are reaching people whom we would not otherwise meet.

With this in mind, I pray that we would be even more effective in reaching those families with special-needs children, so that they can truly know you and your purpose for their lives.

Love, your son,

Dan
