Dear Heavenly Father,

I love what you are doing. I'm inspired by all your deeds. I read in your word of awesome things done in the past - how you've been with your people - your promises to be with us always.

What a friend we have in Jesus, who constantly intercedes on our behalf.

You've worked miracles in the past and continue to demonstrate your might in our day. I praise you because you are good.

In your great love and mercy, you rescued me from my empty way of life, in which I lived not to please you but myself instead. You saw through the facade I put up and reached me where I really am, because you know all about me.

You know me even better than I know myself. You know my strengths and my weaknesses. You know how to encourage and inspire me. You understand my innermost being, all the while I struggle to understand myself better.

You have placed your Holy Spirit in me to guide me in your righteousness. Lord, let me walk in your righteousness, that the fruit of my life may be good. Help me to offer the parts of my body to righteousnees, not to harm myself.

It is you who wills me to act according to your good purpose.

Help me, Father, for I need to feel your closeness. I want to obey you with a happy heart. Please grant it to me.

Lord, hear my prayer.
