Dear Heavenly Father,
It is so great to be able to pray to you. I thank you, Jesus, because if it weren't for what you did, I wouldn't be able to have this relationship.
As I left work this evening, I was once again awed by the moon and the stars you prominently displayed. These are just a small reflection of your glory.
I'm cut to the heart as I reflect on how I behaved this evening. I got involved in coarse joking and perhaps even some slander. I'm sorry for this, Lord, and I want to change. Please help me to be better.
I'm grateful to you for the extent that people already see you in me. I'm grateful that others see me as trustworthy and honest, yet I know that there is much more of your character that you would like to see me model. Please help me to be relatable but not get so that I too get involved in others' sin.
Lord, I'm going to need your help as I continue to go through this coming day. I have not gotten much rest, and I will definitely feel it by tomorrow evening. Please help me with this.
God, I also know that you do not want me to worry unnecessarily about the traffic ticket. I want to do what is right, and I hope that things will work out so that I am able to settle this matter quickly and effectively. I also pray for help in changing the behavior that led to the ticket. With your help I know that I can.
Thank you for giving me your Holy Spirit. I pray to continue to feed it with good stuff.
Lord Jesus, I love you, and I can only imagine what life will be like in heaven with you.
Thank you.
Love, your son and brother,
Danny
