Dear God,

Thanks for this new day. I really want to be led by your Holy Spirit today, and that's why I want to keep this brief and to the point. First, you know all about our lives, and you know the needs we have even before we bring them to you. I pray that you would bless me and my family, friends, and loved ones today in a way that only you can. For those that need encouragement, let them be encouraged. For those that ail physically or mentally, please give them some relief. For those in financial hardships, may you bless them in such a way that their needs will be met.

Father, I also pray for those who are not true followers of your Son. You know who they are. I pray that their hearts will become wide open, even as this is the season that the world remembers Jesus' birth, the celebration that the kingdom of this world would become His kingdom. May we as true followers of your Son bring these individuals into a right relationship with you.

And not only for these people, but also for us who have lost our first love -- may we take our condition seriously and repent wholeheartedly. I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 7:10-12 - O our Lord, please bring those times of refreshing (Acts 3:19)!

Father, if not for your mercy, I'd be nothing. I know that I'd be lost forever. Lord, I thank you for your mercy. O praise your Holy name!

Love, your son,
Dan
