Dear God,
This is the time of year around the world when we remember the birth of your son, Jesus. I recognize, however, that we can remember his birth throughout the entire year. I used to get down around this time before the true meaning of this holiday hit home: if Jesus had not been born, then he would not have been able to die for my sins, enabling me to have a relationship with you.
I praise you, God, for taking good care of me. I want to submit myself to your will and let you guide me. Help me with my lack of faith. I know this in my mind; it's just getting the heart and flesh behind it that is so often the problem.
Thanks for taking care of my wife and daughter, too.
I love you!
Your son,
Danny
